The 2022 Tools Competition will launch on September 22, 2022 with a virtual event marking the beginning of the application period for the annual competition, which is expected to award more than $3 million in funding.
In 2020, The Learning Engineering Tools Competition first solicited individuals and organizations worldwide to fund ed tech tools, technologies, and platforms to address pressing problems and opportunities in education and build the field of learning engineering.
The 2020 and 2021 competitions generated significant interest. Following a multi-phase judging process, the competition named 18 winning teams in 2020 and 30 winning teams in 2021. These teams, made up of teachers, students, entrepreneurs, learning scientists, ed tech leaders, technologists, and researchers from around the world, were selected to receive $5.5 million in funding.
