Simon Graffy

CEO & Co-Founder

Simon founded Inspiring Teachers as a high school science teacher. But as Inspiring Teachers has grown, he has also worked in startups and built partnerships for large nonprofits. He is a Teach For All Social Innovation Fellow and Global Social Benefit Alumnus. He has an MA in Educational Leadership and advises the World Bank’s coach team on teacher development programs. Most recently, he joined the Mulago fellowship.

Tom Lewis

Co-Founder & Head of Product

Tom Lewis is Co-Founder and Head of Product at Inspiring Teachers, an education nonprofit improving foundational literacy and numeracy outcomes in Sub-Saharan Africa through structured pedagogy, digital tools, and teacher coaching systems. Over the past 13 years, he has helped design and scale evidence-informed education programs across Ghana, Uganda, Malawi, and Zambia. Prior to co-founding Inspiring Teachers, Tom worked in Uganda managing volunteer and education programs, and earlier supported autistic students as a teaching assistant and residential care worker in the UK. His work focuses on translating learning science into practical systems that function in low-resource classrooms.
