Viviana Zocco is the founder of Ticmas, an innovative EdTech solution that brings quality education to children and young people across Latin America. Through Ticmas, she drives digital transformation in schools and expands learning opportunities in vulnerable communities, helping reduce educational gaps and promoting inclusion through technology. In 2022, Ticmas was selected as one of the Top 20 EdTech Ventures by the GSV Cup, and continues to grow as a regional benchmark in LatAm in education and technology.

Laura Smulian

Head of Social Impact

Laura Smulian is Head of Social Impact at Ticmas, where she leads cross-sector partnerships and social impact strategy across Latin America. Her work focuses on scaling Ticmas’ education and AI initiatives across public, private, and philanthropic sectors, with a particular emphasis on expanding access to high-quality learning opportunities in underserved communities. Under her leadership, Ticmas’ programs have expanded across three new markets, reaching more than 32,000 students and 1,600 teachers. Laura has also written and spoken on women’s leadership, technology, and systems change, including contributing to the Elsevier publication Women’s Entrepreneurship and the Sustainable Development Goals: An Opportunity Nexus.

Irma Ibarra

Literacy Specialist

Irma Ibarra is a literacy expert with more than 20 years of experience in books, reading, and education. Her work includes authoring Spanish-language textbooks, selecting titles for Mexico’s Libros del Rincón initiative, and managing SM México’s acclaimed children’s literature catalog. At Ticmas, she contributes to the design of literacy and reading comprehension initiatives, bringing deep expertise in pedagogical content, teacher engagement, and the promotion of reading cultures across diverse educational contexts.

Matias Palacio

Product Manager

Matías Palacio is a Product Manager and specialist in educational technology development. With a solid track record at Ticmas since 2020, he leads the development of scalable B2B solutions and mobile products. As the Product Lead for the “¡A leer el vivo!” program, he heads the project’s technological evolution, integrating disruptive tools to maximize its pedagogical reach and ensure an educational experience of excellence.
