UnlockEd enables incarcerated learners to earn certifications and degrees, providing competency based education in a consortia model, while providing correctional administrators and researchers with a rich set of data around program effectiveness. UnlockEd will leverage smart tutoring to assist learners in course completion, as well as to build smart learner pathways and AI-driven suggestions based on observable success trends.
Haley Shoaf
Co-Founder & Co-Executive Director, Unlocked Labs
Haley Shoaf is the Co-Founder and Co-Executive Director of Unlocked Labs. She came to Unlocked Labs as the VP of Justice programs at LaunchCode, where she launched the JusTech program, running coding education programs for incarcerated students at four prisons in Missouri. Prior to JusTech, Haley was the Vice President of Impact at LaunchCode, where she was responsible for national program operations and expansion, running free tech education programs in seven cities across the US. Haley has also led the Georgetown Prison Outreach program, managing a GED and creative writing education program that served three correctional facilities in the DC/Maryland area. She is a graduate of Georgetown University.
