Maria is a global education thought leader who works at the intersection of analytics, AI, research, and product development to accelerate the evolution of education. Prior to founding CampusEvolve, Maria was the Director of Worldwide Education Research at Microsoft, where she led the Open Education Analytics community. She also served as the Strategic Data Officer for education at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Sociology and an M.A. in International Relations, both from Boston University.
