Associate Professor, Comparative Media Studies, Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Justin is an associate professor of digital media in the Comparative Media Studies/Writing department at MIT and the director of the Teaching Systems Lab. He is the author of Iterate: The Secret to Innovation in Schools, Failure to Disrupt: Why Technology Alone Can’t Transform Education, and the host of the TeachLab Podcast.

Preeti Raman

Assistant Professor, Toronto Metropolitan University

Preeti Raman is an educational researcher with the Teaching Systems Lab at MIT. Her expertise is situated in the fields of Computer Science, Affect Studies, the Learning Sciences and AI in Education. She earned her doctorate in Curriculum and Pedagogy at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto where her work has been supported through multiple fellowships and scholarships. She holds an MA in Curriculum Studies and Teacher Development from the University of Toronto, a Masters in Computer Science from Carleton University and a Bachelors in Computer Engineering from Bangalore University.
