Owen Carter

Owen is Co-Founder and a Director of ImpactEd Group, a social enterprise supporting schools and organisations to make better decisions using quality evidence. He has led ImpactEd’s expansion to support over 1,000 schools and 60 education organisations annually. Owen is a winner of the 2018 Teach First Innovation Award, the 2020 Fair Education Alliance Scaling Award, and has been named one of PwC’s ‘Tomorrow’s Business Leaders’. He is an Impact Advisor for The Childhood Trust and a Trustee of Creative Education Trust.

Holly Waddell

Director of Impact Partnerships, ImpactEd Group

Holly began working in education as an English teacher before working at Teach First delivering their Leadership Development Programme in schools across the North West and moving into social and economic research consultancy. She leads on a number of our large-scale complex partnerships, including those with Education Development Trust, Careers and Enterprise Company and Oak National Academy. She has a Masters in Education from The University of Manchester and is a school governor.

Elin de Zoete

Director, ImpactEd Group

Elin is an experienced leader in education and strategic communications. She was Managing Director of PLMR where she established a highly successful education practice and was also a Director of Bite Back 2030, campaigning on nutrition and school food. She is a Trustee at Inspiration Trust and Vice Chair at the Together Project.

John Jerrim

Professor, University College London

John is Professor of Education and Social Statistics and Director of the Quantitative Social Science research centre at the UCL Institute of Education. His research interests include evaluation methods with a focus on randomisation and quasi-experimental designs, the economics of education, and approaches to solving intergenerational disadvantages. John is an internationally recognised researcher with a specialism in quantitative social science.
