Play My Math (PMM) is an educational game aiming to support the sense-making of abstract mathematical concepts through music. In PMM, students learn to use arithmetic and introductory algebra involving integer numbers and fractions to write, read, and make music without musical notation. From the students’ perspective, the game is about solving mathematical puzzles to keep composing and performing music.

Eric is a music producer, composer, educational technologist, and doctoral researcher. His PhD research focuses on educational systems using artificial intelligence techniques to support students’ learning and teachers’ practice. Music-wise, he has solid experience as a music producer, composer, and educator. He has co-designed and experimented with technology, lessons, methodologies, and workshops aiming to synthesize music and mathematics in the same learning space for many years.
