Philip Fisher

Excellence in Learning Professor, Stanford Graduate School of Education and Director, Stanford Center on Early Childhood

Dr. Fisher’s research program developed the FIND-C intervention and leads its implementation. His research focuses on developing and evaluating scalable early childhood interventions in communities, and on translating scientific knowledge regarding healthy development under conditions of adversity for use in social policy and programs. He is particularly interested in the effects of early stressful experiences on children’s neurobiological and psychological development, and in prevention and treatment programs for improving children’s functioning in areas such as relationships with caregivers and peers, social-emotional development, and academic achievement.

Lauren Klein

Postdoctoral Scholar

Lauren Klein, PhD leads our team’s development and integration of machine learning approaches into the FIND-C editing workflow. Dr. Klein completed her PhD in Computer Science at the University of Southern California and has 5 years of experience developing video-based approaches for analyzing child-caregiver interaction and social behavior.

Nick Haber

Assistant Professor, Stanford Graduate School of Education

Dr. Haber provides guidance on machine learning and human computer interaction within FIND-C and has a decade of experience developing machine learning approaches and interactive tools that model and support early learning. His research focuses on artificial intelligence systems meant to mimic and model the ways people learn early in life, exploring their environments through play, social interaction, and curiosity.
