We are building a tool to make high quality skill-development affordable and accessible at scale in Pakistan. Initially, we will use it as a professional development tool to support teachers at under-resourced schools in building English language proficiency and pedagogical skills to improve teaching effectiveness. We aim to develop world-class content and technology, adapted to local needs and constraints.

Zainab is an educationist with a 17-year track record in curriculum development, implementing large-scale programs, designing EdTech products for low-income users, leading rigorous RCTs, and using data and research to inform product and program design. She deeply understands the needs, constraints and aspirations of actors in Pakistan’s under-resourced Education system, and is excited at the prospect of experimenting with technology to deliver high quality education, affordably, at scale.

Kazi is a technology and operations professional with experience in designing, building, and managing technology products, including Machine Learning and Big Data implementations. He has led large engineering teams at global companies such as Amazon and John Hancock. Before transitioning full-time to technology, Kazi was a high school Math and Physics teacher and built EdTech products including a management system for school administrators.

Fizza is a seasoned teacher, language acquisition expert and communication specialist. She has taught English to middle and high school students for 29 years. She is trained as a teacher of French as a foreign language and has taught French to adolescents and adults for 17 years. She is also an experienced teacher trainer, specializing in language and pedagogy. In addition, Fizza is the founder and artistic director of a theater group in Islamabad called Theatre Wallay.
