Simon Woodhead, Head of Research, is a co-founder of Eedi, PhD data scientist, and host of the Data Science in Education meetup. He coordinates our machine learning research, and turns this into new product features. With experience leading both product development and research, he has created award-winning edtech solutions with strong data science foundations. He will be co-principal for this project.

Panagiota Konstantinou

ML Research Engineer, Eedi

Panagiota is a Machine Learning Research Engineer at Eedi, where she specializes in integrating machine learning into education, with a particular focus on Geometric Deep Learning. Before her current role, she worked as a Research Engineer in computer vision for biometric applications. Panagiota holds a Master’s degree from the University of St. Andrews and earned a BSc in Computer Science from Durham University. Panagiota is passionate about promoting machine learning, AI, ethics, and coding literacy—especially among women.

Bibi Groot

Head of Behavioral Science, Eedi

Bibi Groot is a Behavioral Scientist with a PhD in Behavioral Public Policy, specializing in the application of behavioral insights to education. At Eedi, she creates engaging and motivating learning experiences that drive meaningful behavior change. With experience leading experiments and conducting mixed-methods evaluations, Bibi brings a rigorous, data-driven approach to improving education through technology.

Andrew Lan

Assistant Professor, University of Massachusetts Amherst

Andrew Lan is assistant professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. His research focuses on developing AI and NLP methods to enhance personalized learning in education. Andrew previously served as a postdoctoral research associate at Princeton University and earned his Ph.D. from Rice University. He is dedicated to leveraging machine learning to make high-quality, personalized education accessible to all learners.
