Mara Steiu

CEO and Co-founder

Mara Steiu is a dual MBA / MA in Education candidate at Stanford University, graduating in the Class of 2025. Prior to Stanford, she was a Product Manager at Microsoft, Twitter, and Confluent, leading the development of B2B and B2C products used by thousands. Her passion lies in creating technology that drives impact in education and workforce development. In high school, she launched a financial education game and the first startup accelerator within Romania’s public education system—an initiative that has supported the launch of over 500 student-run businesses and recently expanded to South Africa. Her work has been recognized with honors including Forbes 30 Under 30 Romania. Mara is currently the CEO and co-founder of Journify Learning, an evidence-based AI assistant for special education.

Sagar Manchanda

CTO and Co-founder

Sagar Manchanda is a seasoned software engineer and entrepreneur with approximately seven years of experience in developing large-scale distributed systems and optimizing platforms. Prior to co-founding Journify, Sagar spent nearly six years at Microsoft and one year at Atlassian, as a Senior Software Engineer. Sagar holds a degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, one of India’s premier engineering institutions.
